Not Being Perfect Is What Makes Us Interesting
Perfectionism is a trait similar to obsessive compulsiveness in that
our society loves these qualities until they bite us in the ass. If
you’ve ever really suffered from the dark side of perfectionism you
know what I’m talking about. It is a frozen state that imprisons our creativity and ultimately our happiness.
Perfectionism is a self-esteem killer because it is such a fragile state of mind, the opposite of being resilient.
It’s good to be a blogger, because it forces me to get over myself, to be ready, willing and able to make mistakes, get messy and embrace the joy of making a fool of myself. For you it may not be blogging, it may be another creative endeavor, parenting, for instance, that invites you to draw outside the lines.
